Derek Schneideman currently works as Senior Board Advisor to IA Global Inc, prior to his Advisory position he was the Chairman and CEO of IA Global. In this role he directly ran and operated the subsidiary company call centers, in Japan and the Philippines, which offered a wide range of BPO and SPO services. His responsibility further covered 3 Recruiting companies, and 2 E-commerce companies, comprising multi-site operations of more than 2,000 employees, in three countries, with revenues of > US$80mm.

Additionally Mr. Schneideman has extensive expertise as a Private Equity Investor and Business Restructuring Consultant focused on the US, Japan and Asian markets. His activities include: President of Universal Service Group K.K.; Executive Consultant to Art Beauty Clinic, Investment Advisor to the HITOMI FUND K.K.; Senior Executive Advisor to the Softbank Asia Infrastructure Fund, a US$1.2billion fund targeted at private and public companies in China and Asia.

He has acted as the Chairman of Asia-Net K.K., and was a contracted Director and COO/CFO for AdMark Asian Group Inc, an Executive Consultant to Uniscope K.K., a Director of HTT Project K.K., and a Senior Partner of SICS K.K. Mr. Schneideman serves or has served as a director and Japan Representative of Illinois Superconductor Inc., ImaHima K.K., and Adcore K.K., Slate Consulting K.K., GPLUS Media K.K., and Global Hotline Ltd

Before moving to the U.S., Mr. Schneideman enjoyed a career as President and CEO of CTR Ventures K.K., a private investment and consulting firm, and as the President and Representative Director for Gateway Japan KK, an 800 employee US$800 million direct marketer of Personal Computers, related products and services. Under his leadership the Gateway Japan organization grew from start-up to US$800 in revenues in a 4-year period.

He has numerous independent industry awards including, Best Service Provider in Japan, Highest Growth Rate Foreign PC Maker award, Largest Commercial Web-site in Japan award, #1 Web-site for ease of use award, Fastest Growing ISP award, as well as numerous marketing, advertising and new service innovations awards. Mr. Schneideman served with Computer Associates for 10 years in Managing Director positions in Japan, Korea, Thailand, New Zealand and in senior executive roles in Australia.

Mr. Schneideman is a New Zealander who has spent most of his career in the Asia Pacific region. He has working experience in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Korea, Taiwan, and the United States. He has been extensively quoted and reviewed by Nikkei, Asahi, and Yomiuri Newspapers, the Japan Times, and most PC related magazines published in Japan, the US, and New Zealand.

He is a well known speaker on Business Creation, Internet, PC, HR, and team motivation matters, as well as being the co-author of the book "A Soft Landing in Japan, a guide to market entry for high technology companies". Mr. Schneideman has served on the Executive Committee of the American Electronics Association in Japan, the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, and The Economist Economic Council. He is active in a number of community projects.
