Yong C. Yi is an articulate, well-organized and action/results-oriented senior executive with a proven record of innovative leadership, successful problem-solving and exceeding normal goals and objectives. He is an entrepreneur and international business developer in various sectors of businesses including Information Technology (I.T.).
Yong has been involved in the I.T. industry since 1977 as a systems programmer in IBM mainframe industry. For three years from 1983, he had developed and marketed SPOOLMAN, which is system utility software package, for IBM VM system until Computer Associates acquired the product from Yong. After two years as a Product Manager at Computer Associates International, Inc., he headed a new operation in Korea for 7 years. The return was fivefold in the first year alone! Computer Associates Korea became the first foreign software company to do business in Korea.
Then, for two years, he headed a new operation for SAP in Korea with similar responsibilities including sales, marketing, product development, projects management and support responsibilities with full P&L. He held many seminars to introduce ERP concept to corporate Korea. Consequently, SAP Korea surpassed all sales targets and became the top producer in the Asia-Pacific.
Until 1999, he was the Director of Asian Business Development for SAP America in Los Angeles and his responsibilities included management of Asian business development which covers all aspects of SAP business including sales, project management, and marketing, support strategy for Japanese, China and Korean subsidiaries in the United States. In addition, one of the main tasks he managed was to support American SAP customers who were planning or expanding their operation in Asia. Some of the major projects were SAMSUNG (56 projects worldwide), Coca-Cola, IBM, Mitsubishi, and Hyundai.
After SAP America, he joined Los Angeles based IT consulting firm CDSNet Inc. as a principal business partner that was founded in 1979 as a commercial data processing and information technology services bureau. He also started CDSNet Soft Inc. as an affiliate to handle all IT software related business.
Currently, he is a president and CEO of CDSNet Soft Inc with responsibilities of managing and implementing the various IT projects including Smart Card solution system, Transportation Management Services, CRM and ERP consulting and implementation. Additionally, he managed ExecuTrain of the Inland Empire that is a part of worldwide franchise of computer consulting and training.
